Weidner Services, LLC manufactures road-transportable marine barges for fresh or salt water usage. A typical barge is constructed of 5086 marine-grade aluminum; not only on the outer layer, but throughout the entire structure. This type of aluminum is the best material to use, since the barge will be subjected to constant moisture. It will resist corrosion even in salt water. It is light-weight (for easy transportation), and can hold over 20,000 lbs. The flat bottoms make it easy to pass through shallow waters.
